The file cbmpr11.zip contains a program for IBM PC compatibles that allows you to connect a printer with Commodore's serial interface to a PC's parallel interface port (a LPTx port). The only hardware required is a simple cable: IBM Lpt port Female: CBM IEEE serial port Female: /-----\ /----___----\ Strobe----1o \--\ / \ _____ | o14---AutoFeed Data-----o5 1o-----SrqIn _____ (Data 0)| 2o-\ | | 6o----------------Reset | -o15|(Error) Clock-----o4 2o-----+Ground | 3o | ____ \ 3o / _|_ | o16---Init \-----|-----/ | 4o | Atn-/ | o17---SelectIn +-----------+-------------------------------+ | 5o | | C64signal | IBMsignal Lpt port + 2 | | /o18| | | | | 6o +------+Ground | 2 Ground | 18..25 Ground | | +o19| _|_ | 3 Atn | 1 Strobe bit 0 | | 7o | | | 4 Clock | 14 AutoFeed bit 1 | ~~~~~~~~~~~ | 5 Data | 17 SelectIn bit 3 | | +o25| | 6 Reset | 16 Init bit 2 | |13o /--/ +-----------+-------------------------------+ \-----/ The author of the program is Leopoldo Ghielmetti (ghielmet@di.epfl.ch).
