Mikro Assembler is an assembler cartridge for the VIC-20. The program is (c) 1981 Andrew Trott. VIC-20 version (c) 1982 Supersoft and Audiogenic Ltd. The two .prg files in Mikro Assembler.zip load at $a000 and $6000. Therefore, RAM must be present at those locations. Here's how to load and use the files: Load one file with ,8,1. Enter the NEW command. Load the other file with ,8,1. Press the reset button if you have one installed, otherwise enter SYS 64802 to reset the computer. You should now be greeted with: ** MIKRO ASSEMBLER ** (C) A.J.TROTT XXXX BYTES FREE READY. Use the standard screen editor (with line numbers) to write, list and save source files (you can even write and run BASIC programs). To list a "formatted" source file, just enter the command FORMAT. To assemble a source file to object code, enter, you guessed it, ASSEMBLE. There is also a simple ML monitor that's invoked with the command TIM. Read the manual for the full details on TIM, the assembler and other commands that Mikro Assembler adds. Mikro Assembler Manual.zip contains 13 scanned .jpg images of the manual, plus one scan of the cart itself and one of the PCB. As soon as I come around to OCRing the scans, I will upload an ASCII version of the manual. Dumped, scanned and uploaded by Niklas Ramsberg 12 June 2002. niklas.ramsberg@swipnet.se
